Waves of grasses in the Junction

The owners wanted a front garden to complement the modern design of their renovated home that also fit within the neighbourhood. The new landscape mirrors the layered lines of the home with rows of low grasses separated by narrow paths of Mexican river rock. The native sedge at the sidewalk provides a background for the Ginkgo tree and Library Box. The swath of grasses gradually become taller as they meet the Japanese Maple at the front porch, with a variety of colours and textures to provide year round interest. The architect of the home commented that he loved the design.
